The practice complies with guidelines set down by the British Dental Council. It stresses that we are required to update personal and medical records that we keep on all patients every time they attend the practice. The information has to be in writing and signed for approximately every two years and verbally requested on all other occasions. This is to ensur that should a medical incident occur we are aware of current treatments and mediactions and contact numbers. The new procedure put into place, within the practice,is a simple 4 question laminate questionnaire. This will be given to all patients as they sign in at the reception desk. You will then be asked to take the questionnaire into the surgery to give to your dentist. Any changes will then be updated into the computer system.
In accordance to the new no smoking policy, we have now displayed the no smoking signs. The signs are displayed on the window by the entrance to the practice and in the upstairs waiting area. We would appreciate you cooperation in this matter.
Following a promotional session with Oral B, the practice has decided to stock the new Oral B Triumph electric toothbrush. Dentists recommed electric toothbrushes for effective cleaning and clinical research demonstrates just how effective this can be compared to manual brushing. The recommended retail price for the new Triumph brush is £169.99. We can discuss your individual requirements, offer free demmonstrations and issue vouchers so the brush may be purchased for £99.00 from the practice.
